Facilities
Southlands Nursing Home is in a quiet residential area of Havant and is only about four hundred yards level walk from the town centre. It is well served by local bus services, railway links and by road. The two original houses, which together are Southlands, were built around 1900, and have been much extended and upgraded to meet modern nursing standards.
Southlands comprises 29 single bedrooms. The bedrooms are furnished and decorated to a high standard and residents are encouraged to bring personal items such as ornaments and photographs to enable them to feel completely at home. Families can install personal televisions and telephones as they wish.
There are two lounges, with television, radio, DVD and video player, one looking over the front garden and the second, bright and south facing, at the rear with access to a patio. There is also a separate dining room which can also be used as an activities area for residents to get together and plan and create artwork for the next event or themed day, where there is also a large selection of books in both large and regular print.
